  • snow

I made a bit of a stink. The tom opened the sliding door a nose width. How interesting the channel of air. I sat on the step (inside) and the wind changed and snow blew in and metled on my nose. Eventually I got cold and wandered off but as I lie on a lap, heat coming from above from vent and from below from you know who, I remember.

  • photos of my busy day

I napped in the sun under this newly arrived table.

Then later I tracked the sun through the whole house, nearly, well, halfway, and after looking over the tom’s paperwork, I had a snooze.

  • home!

So late but better than never.

No wasting time their laps would be mine. I nearly climbed on their knees as they squatted to undo their strap-on-cow-foot-cover things.

But don’t worry, I made sure they looked after the key things. The litter, my food, for instance.

The jane she even gave me a long combing.

Aaaah, lovely. That’s at least 2 hairballs prevented.

  • where are those kids?

I’ve been waiting here all night. Yes, there’s food and water but hrumph.
Touch. A cat needs touch as much. When they popped out between their work for my tuna and their supper, I thought they were just taking my toiletries away. What to do. Wait, wait. Not even a fellow cat to pounce. Boy are they going to get a lap when they get home. May sleep on them all night.

  • And a 23rd thing…

Oh my catness. I’ve been tagged by Beau.

    Here are the rules:
    1. Go into your archives.
    2. Find your 23rd post.
    3. Post the fifth sentence (or closest to it).
    4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
    5. Tag five other people to do the same thing.

That would be Aug 19, 2004:

“All is right in the world after a full-stomach and a nap.”

5 other cats. Let’s see who Beau already tapped. How about I nominate:

Gigalo, Tanny Man, Diva Kitty, Calico Girls and Pandora

  • gnight

People came. I hid where I could see from. It didn’t appear to be a toenail mob to outnumber me. I hid under the bed anyway. They just left. Whew. Could have been a close one.

  • a moment ago

As a lay in the crook of the tom’s back leg, his foot behind his knee, me filling the gap and pouring my chin over his kneecap, I drooled onto the sofa. The tom used my tail to wipe it up with. I’m observant, not absorbant. That won’t do. I stirred, yawned until my ears nearly brushed against each other behind my head and stepped over to sleep on his chest instead.

  • prrrrrrrrrrr

i’m a thrumming purr in fur. 5 hands stroking me a once. Yes, A am queen.

  • watching

Where birds gathered on the flat roof below,
bathing in puddles, splashing water beween
feathers, now a snowfield without movement

  • interior design

Wall to wall carpeting was good. Wood floors are cold on the toes. Laps are warm on the toes. I think we should ahve wall-to-wall laps.
