  • tail-biting tale

The tail chasing has abated somewhat. My colleague is learning that if she does it, there will be consequences. And nobody wants to see that including hairless tom and jane. I restricted my colleagues movements. Ms Zhou was allowed to come out from under the couch but only on direct route to food and even toiletry necessities would be subject to pounce should she attempt to go from there to her closet. Under the couch only. And with silence. She seems to get the picture. When she feels an urge to tail-bite she goes under there. I permit one turn then I come in after her hissing. This behavior is driving us all mad and it stops now.

  • E = me cat, shared

I am so wired. I missed my regular catithentics and my cuddle with all the excitement so I find myself bug eyed running over the bed. I’ll relax, sure, sure right after this. Watch this leap!

  • I’ve had it

She has been at it 3 days. enough with the biting your own tail and crying out, enough with hissing at your own tail with flattened ears. Yes I know it is bedraggled thing that isn’t in proportion to your burgeoning body but all that snarling is getting me in fight mood.

Remember the last 2 times this afternoon when you attacked yourself, it is yourself, and cried and I ran over to defend you then hissed at you to stop because the people I assumed, wrongly this time that I was beating on you.

Just now, when I batted you, it was only, to give you something to worry about.

And because my patience is getting short at you turning your hissing circles under the sofa. Won’t you reconsider joining me in catethentics?

Is there a psychiatrist in the house? It seems that she may have some sort of OC disorder or is she not that badly off yet? It seemed to use to be a game and she’s forgotten the fun.

  • cheap labour, completely undependable

Don’t glower at me Missy. I reminded you with taps that you forgot to clean the toilet.

You can’t possibly be mad that I missed. Who would step in there? You hold your own body back as you clean and we both know whose nose is more sensitive between the two of us.

  • low run

We’ve mirrored each other all day while the simians were away. While my colleague slept in one sun patch, I took another. When she had her bath, I did mine. When she ate, I shadowed her. When she started to bite her tail, I bit her tail too. 😉 When she started a low run to under the couch, I pursued. Oh this game is fun.

  • night thoughts

Funny that the hyper furry crazy ball neighbour pup never runs at night. I wonder if that black elastic dog is given a tranquillizer nightly?

One of the crow brothers that flew over in their fledgling juvenile group this afternoon would make a nice snack around now.

In the overcast night, even my collegue is a grey cat.

Did Beau’s mom forgive him? I’m sure she did. She had a mood. Simians get those. Yes, I can doze on that thought.

  • morning plans

I think I’ll start on the westmost side, check in at the toilet station at 10 am. Leave the message at 10:30 that no cleaning means no burying and none of us like that. Following that, the windsill and right around lunch, we’ll all get up for food, then maybe, in the afternoon I’ll wrap my body around an ankle and sniff and lick footy goodness.

  • crackle

Major electrical storm out there. My colleague took the low run road straight under the sofa. I took a different route, namely to glue myself to the thigh of nearest simian, same size thigh and I, should afford good protection, and for added security, mark a book like mad, which I am not of course. perfectly calm.

  • yum

oh, that was a goooood dream.

    Did I meow?

(purrrrrr) Think I’ll hop up on the sofa with them.

Yes, scratch my hips like that.

Yes, I’m in estrus. Why do you ask?

  • almost too much water

As I jumped to the bathtub to signal my thirst I almost lost my footing and was scrambling to get it back when I noticed the tub had been left full.

Hopping off, I was relieved at that near dunk. I could have foreseen that even though it had not occurred before. I noticed over the last few days a sudden spike in the hairless jane’s penchant for showers and bathing. Even 4 or 5 times a day. This is approaching my level. I wondered if she might be learning a thing or two about cleanliness from me.

At a distance, our hairless jane looks same-same but coming closer starting a few days ago, I noticed a distinct purply-red cast to some of her skin. While she slept I was sniffling around with outpuffs and determined there is injury there that the body is trying to heal.

Could the two things be related?
