My colleague is one with the carpet and corner wall, more securely attached there than this bit of wood panelling that comes loose if you bat it just enough at this angle.

4 hours since my last brushing. I do like the nonsense she babbles at me. I have even tried babbling back. She seems to like it. It’ll be a while before she gets here. Maybe I can work up a new verbal phrase or two before then.

  • poetic moment

    Wind in the grass
    I can pass my tongue
    over my muzzle
    untroubled
    by the spritz
    of grass breaking
    like bug spit
    crunching
    one morsel
    of cricket

  • AC

Do they really need to have left the A/C on. Every time the room starts to get really blood-warm, the systems cut in and cool it off again.

  • dates to remember and cherish

July 22 will be the one year anniversary of this blog. 10 days. I wonder if my study subjects will be back to celebrate with me. Not that I miss them. And not that they know this blog exists. And not that we would know what we were celebrating together but a good long cuddle would be pleasant all the same.

In other news, I got a good brush and combing from the substitute simian. She’s got a nice soft approach. Doesn’t rush a cat. I like that.

I apologize for dumping on you all. I finally got a secure connection reestablished so I can upload my last few posts. Here they all are below.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I’m thinking of you Janie q.
I haven’t heard from you in a bit but then, you haven’t heard from me in a buit either. You still around? I haven’t been able to get online long enough to check on any of you. How’s Max feeling about his new kit about the house? How about Beau, Serei and Simon?

  • yeeeeooor

I don’t like the feel of my stomach. I yelped in spite of myself. I can feel something bloody uncomfortable coming to pass if you know what I mean.

When will the cool of night return me to some other dimension?

  • yep, quiet

Without them banging and kalumphing in their irregular way. Without them lying still as near dead for hours without so much as an ear twtich until you have to go sniff their breath to make sure they are still with us and tickle their nose with a whisker or two to test for livingness. ..

sure is quiet. I wonder if we have divorced and we got the house and got one simian as a trade in for those two?

wonder if this will be the routine forever?

  • quiet

Sure is quiet without the simians coming through and uvulating rasps in the night. I am not saying I don’t like it. I do of course. Tranquility and cats are a natural fit.

Sure is quiet though. It seems more so when all I can do is record my notes and not post. It seems the neighbour I was piggybacking on has also gone on vacation. How or when I’ll get reconnected, I don’t Know.

  • time is a virtue

What did I just say about punctual; simians, what can you do? 3, count em, 3 simian hours late. And just where is my chin scratch?

  • on the balls

I have had a good round of cardio today. I’ve chased 6 or the 11 balls out of reach. One doesn’t bounce like it used to. It seems to have kind of melted under the baseboard heater. it looks like of oily and doesn’t taste good at all. Oh well, there’s this almond seed still to bat off the table and see if I can score a back of cold box with.
