Strategies one needs strategies but what shall I do with all this ambition? I have no co-cat colleague to pounce anymore. I try tripping the tom and jane in the dark but they watch out for me now.

you really need a playmate – or you could scratch all of the furniture.
I make do scratching the carpet. That gets a big exciting reaction but the excitement dies down fast.
There are no curtains. There is a neighbour cat I can see out on the balcony sometimes but she is just on the edge of psychic radar and not terribly friendly.–>
