3 places for writers

Poets & Writers magazine has an index of 693 literary magazines, their genres and reading periods. (I’m surprised to see so many that accept simultaneous submissions.)
Wintergreen Studios has a workshop in June with Steven Heighton. (That’s between Ottawa and Kingston.) He gives a workshop a year there as I understand, as does Lorna Crozier who gives her writing retreat there later this week. (Full, naturally, but you can apply to the waiting list.)
For those who want to work by correspondence from the comfort of home, a new school is starting in September, an online writing studio program by Jeffrey Ross and Brenda Leifso.
For most poetry workshops you’re looking at peeling off $200-$400 for a session whether that’s an intensive weekend or a term of an hour every week or two.
