The One Deep Breath prompt of the week is One Line haiku. The urban highrise spring has no flowers, no color change. There’s newness in rain, thunder, and one marked seasonal return, once the ice and snow has gone for sure…

Depends where your urban highrise is, we can see blossom trees from our Edinburgh tenements…. I like your one line haiku.

Love it, it is so true. Spring in Florida.

Love it!
Pearl, is this, when combined with the prose above, considered a Haibun? It all works so well together, and the line alone I’ve interpreted two different ways (hours apart), and it works well both ways for me.

Egad, I may have done a Haibun. Cool. Thanks for pointing out the two readings Marcia.
You made a really important point here. That seasons (among most other things) are experienced differently for each of us. Thanks for sharing your experience of spring. The haiku has a strong sharp clarity. You have some really intriguing things on this site (I love the newspaper and cutup poetry).

Thanks Jem. Glad you had a look around. 🙂
