Canadian Festival of Spoken Word is coming to Ottawa October 12.

Also, the 15th of every month is the deadline for Bywords submissions. If you’re a current or former Ottawa resident, student, worker, please send poems of 45 lines or less, 250 words or less with a short bio and a mention of your Ottawa connection if you aren’t currently living here.
In a few days are two readings I’m organizing with the Blink Gallery: Barely Their Vernissage, Thurs., 7 pm. Anyone can add poems to display on the theme of shift in memory, shifting in language and identity, or the Ottawa river to go up during the 4 day exhibition. And Saturday reading, 2 pm with TA Carter, Claudia Coutu Radmore, Sandra Ridley, Pearl Pirie, Sean Moreland, Margot Gallant, LM Rochefort, Gillian Wallace and Laurie Koensgen.
