Fundraising has brought in over $100,000. The A-frame Trust is moving into cooperation with Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust (HPELT), which has a mandate of protecting areas “important to our communities for their ecological and cultural values.”
The target date for transfer of ownership to HPELT is April 2011 with upgrades completed by Aug. 2011 and the first writer-in-residence to occupy it from Sept. to Nov. 2011.
