David McFadden back in Ottawa Feb 20 with Be Calm, Honey (Mansfield Press, 2008) and Why Are You So Sad? Selected poem of David W. McFadden (Insomniac Press, 2007)

Angela Carr in Ottawa with The Rose Concordance (BookThug: Toronto, 2009) and reading from new work as well at the AB Series.

Hosted by organizer inimitable Max Middle.
Poetry reading are like any kind of consumption. (Well, except this kind. But the others, yes. I digress.) Given the choice of A and B, I take both.

There was also a Dusty Owl, Christian McPherson reading from Cube People (Nightwood Editions, 2010) and The Sun has Forgotten Where I Live (2011).

Poetry goggles on. For fun.
There was an open mic (which I didn’t photograph) but I did test drive those two versions of the poem in the recent post and took polls. Which was first and which a later draft? Which version do you prefer. The majority of the room said both, then in a second survey of having to choose, most said version 2 below. (Audiences are handy.)

How fun, and love the ‘editor printer’ post as well.
The red curtains make it so dramatic don’t they…
