The National Post reports that the four-day run (Oct. 19-22) of Vancouver 125 Poetry Conference’s is billed as the biggest gathering since the formative one of 1963. Spearheaded by Brad Cran, the conference will also be when the keys for city poet laureate are turned over. It coincides with the Vancouver Writer’s festival and overlaps with Ottawa’s writers festival.
The Globe and Mail points out some of the expected prize poets who will be in attendance in Vancouver, and the event’s url and acronym: V125PC. The schedule of names and times is up. The early bird rate ends September 1st.
Like Write on Bowen, the deal-breaker or deal-broker cost isn’t staying or attending, it’s getting to the other end of the country.
