The new site is live versefest.ca with advance tickets going on sale in 2 weeks.
Poets coming include the poet laureate of Mexico, Pura López-Colomé, Afua Cooper, Philip Levine, Phil Hall, Fred Wah, Rae Armantrout – lots of people who don’t come thru town that often, if they’ve been here before at all.
There are over 4 dozen poets in all and some group readings such as women’s slam and an In/Words launch. And there is a workshop with Ursula Rucker. Oh, and I’m a reader as well.
