Poems-For-All

poems-for-all
I got an assortment (couple dozen) in the mail of Poems-For-All, little 1 3/4″x2″ chapbooks from Sacramento, California. Sweet designs. Poems of contemporaries and classic writers.
Some are one sheet inside, the same size as the cover but there’s also the one that opens to show a cake and opens from there for Kevin Mims tell the story of a birthday. Julia Vinograd‘s poem opens like an accordion from the central staple with one poem. Another uses the same space to put a short poem on each fold and the back of “The Shy Cartographer” has a map. There’s one that is an excerpt of Baudelaire, another (the linocut chapbook of dadaist Jean Arp‘s poem Four buttons two holes four brooms.

  1. What a great idea, eh? I’m glad to see they’re still going strong. Supposedly I had a poem published by them years ago, but I never saw anything from it…
It would be neat if I could track it down.
