Two Eco-Jest-Us readers are in the media this week, radio and print:
Christine McNair speaks with Alastair Larwill on CKCU Lit Landscapes, tonight, 6:30 PM (Sasquatch reading series, sound poetry involvement, etc.) Listen at 93.1 in Ottawa or www.ckcufm.com, everywhere else.
In the April 6th edition [articles stay online for 10 days] of 24 hrs Adrienne Ascah did her column on poetry in Ottawa, mentioning VERSeFest and the upcoming event tonight.
Coutu Radmore joins four other poets at Mother Tongue Books for a night of Japanese form poetry read in French and English on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Gillian Foss will read from her new haiku book Fleeting Moments while Coutu Radmore will recite erotic tanka in French and English.[…]
The night will also include readings from award-winning Montreal poet Janick Belleau, local poet[s] Terry Ann Carter and Mike Montreuil.
According to Coutu Radmore, sometimes it only takes one event to create a poetry lover. “I think when people do go they’re reassured that poetry isn’t a frightening thing and that they can really enjoy it.”
Her Urban Life column runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays and poetry runs continuously.
